MOLECULAR BIOLOGY

MOLECULAR BIOLOGY in Noida

Molecular Biology at Classic Diagnostics — PCR-based, real-time and sequencing diagnostics for viral load, oncology mutations, infectious diseases and genetic testing.

What is Molecular Biology testing?

Molecular Biology uses DNA / RNA-based techniques (PCR, RT-PCR, real-time PCR, sequencing) to detect very small amounts of pathogens or genetic mutations. It is more sensitive than antibody testing and gives quantitative results — viral load, gene mutations, microbial identification, hereditary disease testing.

Common molecular tests

HBV / HCV / HIV viral load (quantitative PCR) · TB PCR / Gene Xpert · HPV DNA · Dengue PCR · Influenza / SARS-CoV-2 RT-PCR · BCR-ABL / JAK2 mutations · Thalassaemia / Sickle-cell gene testing · BRCA testing (in partnership with reference labs) · Karyotyping & FISH on referred basis.

Frequently Asked Questions about MOLECULAR BIOLOGY

What is the difference between antibody testing and PCR?
Antibody tests detect your immune response (which takes 1–2 weeks). PCR detects the pathogen's genetic material directly, often within hours of infection — making it the most sensitive method.
