Holter (24 hrs) at hospital

Holter Monitor — continuous 24–48 hour ECG recording to detect intermittent arrhythmias.

About this test

A Holter monitor is a small, portable ECG device worn for 24–48 hours (or up to 7 days for extended studies) to capture intermittent heart-rhythm problems — palpitations, fainting (syncope), undetected atrial fibrillation, or unexplained dizziness — that may not appear on a single ECG. You go about your normal day while it records continuously. The device is fitted at our centre in about 15 minutes; you return it the next day for analysis.
