Important information & instructions
If female age is less than 35 Years , USG breast is advised.
- Mammo can be done at age of < 35 , if family H/O Cancer breast, other breast has Cancer
- Mammo routinely should not be repeated before 1 yr - unless strongly indicated
- If u have breast implant - inform techie - will get info about position of implant but limited info about breast
- If you are a breastfeeding mother, avoid mammo & inform techie before undergoing mammography. Try USG breast after consulting your doctor.
- Avoid mammo during pregnancy
- Do mammo before FNAC
